The United States Department of Education requires that any institution offering distance education programs to students outside of its home state must acquire authorization from the states in which students reside. Regulations vary from state to state. 

Apollos University is approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization and Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education. As a participating institution, Apollos University may offer online programming to students in other SARA member states without seeking authorization in that state.

Alabama—is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University will be able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Alabama.

Alaska—is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Alaska.

Arizona—is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Arizona.

Arkansas—is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Arkansas.

California— Apollos University is not required to obtain approval or licensure by the State of California and may offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of California.

Colorado— is a SARA member state; and therefore Apollos University is not required to obtain authorization in Colorado for online degree programs, certificate programs, and courses.

Connecticut—is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Connecticut.

Delaware—is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Delaware.

District of Columbia—The District of Columbia is a SARA member, therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of the District of Columbia.

Florida— is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Florida.

Georgia— is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Georgia.

Idaho— is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Idaho.

Illinois— is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Illinois.

Mississippi— is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is authorized to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Mississippi. 

Missouri— is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Missouri.

Montana—is a SARA member state; therefore Apollos University is able to offer all online degree programs, certificate programs and online courses to residents of Montana. In addition, Apollos University is incorporated and approved as a private institution by the State of Montana.  Apollos has the necessary authorization from the Board of Regents to offer post-secondary degree programs in the State of Montana.
